The IATP 5-Narrative Model
The International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP) 5-Narrative Model was designed by J. Eric Gentry, Ph.D., an internationally recognized leader and trainer of clinical traumatology.
This treatment helps to process and integrate trauma memories and transform the sensory fragments of the target event through five distinct and sequenced narratives, while pairing exposure with relaxation. This method is paced to facilitate healing and recovery while remaining in a “relaxed muscle body” and preventing overwhelm.
I was taught this method in the course of my training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and provide training in this approach as well.
