Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
CBT-I is a first-line treatment for chronic insomnia. It’s a brief intervention comprised of five components: sleep hygiene, stimulus control, sleep restriction, relaxation techniques and cognitive restructuring.1 Guidance is provided through each component, and treatment is customized to each person’s specific needs to improve sleep quality and consistency.
CBT-I is highly supported in research and considered a gold standard in helping people to establish restorative sleep routines.2
